Spring Rising: Mother & Daughter Retreat

Welcome to Spring Rising - a nurturing, confidence building half day for girls aged 8-16 and the women who guide them.

Women have always gathered to share what they know. It's time we did the same.

Set amongst the beautiful surrounds of Kiama, this thoughtfully curated half-day retreat offers the chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and return to what truly matters. Time together like this is so important, yet often so hard to find.

Across the afternoon, you and your daughter will enjoy an unhurried blend of rest, movement, creativity, connection and play. Experience calming yoga and sound healing, move your body with intention, share meaningful conversation, connect with other mums and daughters, and savour a delicious, nourishing lunch and afternoon tea.

We weave menstrual health education into story, circle and creativity, helping your daughter build a stronger, kinder relationship with her changing body, while you gain the tools to support her along the way. We draw on the wisdom women have always shared within community, passed from mother to daughter, from village to village, now brought back into one beautiful day together.

Imagine a day filled with movement, heartfelt connection, creativity, laughter, nourishing food and moments of stillness, leaving you both feeling refreshed, inspired and more deeply connected.

Led by nutritionist Emily Gardem and yoga instructor Vanessa Negroni, this beautiful event creates a space where your daughter feels seen, heard and celebrated, and where you can show up as her steady guide with knowledge and confidence.

Who Spring Rising Is For?

  • My daughter and I enjoyed it immensely and I feel it has brought us closer together. There were some fantastic resources shared too. My daughter loves her ‘self care kit’ we purchased and I’m so happy that others are normalising and modelling the benefits of self care to girls at the impressionable age of 10, something I wish I had learnt at that age! I would highly recommend it for any mothers and their daughters who are approaching or have reached puberty.

  • It was a great space to connect with my daughter and open up for some personal conversations starting this part of her little life. I would highly recommend these workshops to any of my friends and family.

  • It was a beautiful experience. We felt very welcomed and discussed periods, menstruation, emotions, and physical changes in a calm, comfortable and educational setting. The blend of yoga, gorgeous healthy snacks, meditation, and activities was so nourishing and fulfilling. Highly recommend
